Ms. Schneeman has more than 25 years legal experience handling legal matters for government entities. Early in her career, Ms. Schneeman worked for the Indiana House of Representatives and was an Indiana Governor's Fellow. After law school, she served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Thomas G. Fisher of the Indiana Tax Court. Following her clerkship, she worked in the State and Local Tax Department of a large Indianapolis law firm handling property tax appeals, administrative proceedings before the Indiana Department of Revenue, and cases before the Indiana Tax Court. In 1998, Ms. Schneeman diversified her practice into the area of governmental tort liability, federal civil rights suits brought under 42 U.S.C. § 1983, and employment discrimination. From 2005 through 2013, Ms. Schneeman served as a staff attorney and courtroom deputy for the Honorable Sarah Evans Barker of the United States District Court. From 2013 through 2017, Ms. Schneeman served as the Deputy Chief of Litigation for the City of Indianapolis. Before joining Clark Johnson & Knight, Ltd., Ms. Schneeman was a partner with the Indianapolis law firm Stephenson Morow & Semler. Ms. Schneeman successfully has defended government clients in jury trials in both state and federal court. She has also successfully prosecuted employment matters before police merit boards. Ms. Schneeman is a frequent presenter at training sessions conducted by the Indiana Sheriff's Association.

GEFT Outdoors, LLC v. City of Westfield, 922 F.3d 375 (7th Cir. 2019), cert. denied sub nom. GEFT Outdoors, LLC v. City of Westfield, 140 S.Ct. 268 (2019) - Ms. Schneeman successfully argued before the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals that Westfield did not violate a billboard owner's federal due process rights when it attempted to enforce its sign regulations and threatened the owner's representatives with arrest if they did not stop their unauthorized construction of a digital/electronic billboard.

Dixon v. City of Greenwood, 150 N.E.3d 1079 (Table) (Ind. Ct. App. 2020), trans. denied. - Ms. Schneeman successfully moved for summary judgment and defended the trial court's ruling on appeal against the claim that Greenwood police officers, having placed a man under arrest, had a legal duty to keep the man in their custody and supervise him at the hospital until he was well enough to be transported to jail and breached that duty when the unsupervised arrestee walked out of the hospital and committed crimes against an elderly couple who lived nearby.

Swingley v. City of Muncie, 168 N.E.3d 1067 (Table) (Ind. Ct. App. 2021) - Ms. Schneeman successfully moved for summary judgment and defended the trial court's ruling on appeal against the claim that by failing to install sidewalks along a street which Muncie knew had potholes and was in poor condition, the city "forced" pedestrians to walk in the roadway and contributed to the motor vehicle/pedestrian collision in which the plaintiff was injured.

Dye v. City of Bloomington, 2022 WL 2128261 (S.D. Ind. 2022) - Ms. Schneeman successfully moved for summary judgment on the claim that Bloomington selectively enforced the rules of conduct at its farmer's market to the detriment of one particular farm vendor because the city disapproved of that farm vendor's reported support of white supremacy and thereby violated the farm vendor's federal constitutional rights of free speech and freedom of association.
