Charles C. Hoppe

Charles C. Hoppe, Jr. was one of the founding principals of Knight, Hoppe, Kurnik, & Knight Ltd.  Mr. Hoppe graduated with honors from Illinois Institute of Technology Chicago-Kent College of Law in 1978.  He spent many years as the principal in charge of the firm’s Indiana office, and tried cases in both Illinois and Indiana.  He served as lead counsel in numerous jury trials involving Structural Work Ace claims, products liability, premises liability, automobile liability, municipal liability and construction cases in the state and federal course of Illinois and Indiana. He also lectured widely on risk management and liability related topics for the American Public Works Association, the Property Loss Research Bureau, and other insurance organizations. He was licensed to practice in the state and federal course of Illinois and Indiana, the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and the United States Supreme Court. His professional affiliations include the Federal Trial Bar, Illinois State Bar Association, Indiana State Bar Association, and Casualty Adjusters Association of Chicago. He spent time as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Chicago Kent College of Law in Chicago.
